How to Play Floor Hockey

Floor hockey is quite similar to ice hockey only difference being it is not played on ice.

  • The floor hockey is played with a hockey stick, puck and goal posts. Six players play in a team. The size of the floor hockey field is similar to the basket ball field. The goal posts are at the opposite ends of the field.
  • The puck is dropped in the center to begin the play. Players have to hit and push the puck with their hockey sticks.
  • The goal is scored when the puck is in the net or goal. Breaking the plane of the net’s bar is also considered a goal.
  • The puck has to be handled by stick only. Holding it with hand causes a foul. Too much of body checking is not allowed.

Bowling Rules – How to Keep Score

Most of the people feel that keeping scores in bowling is intimidating and tough but actually it is not as daunting as it sounds. It is quite simple if you know the scoring rules. The following are some of the rules to keep score in bowling:

  • There are 10 pins in a bowling frame. The players have 10 frames in a bowling game. There are two chances provided to the players per frame to knock down all the pins.
  • The name of the bowler is written down on the score sheet. The number of pins knocked down in the first attempt is noted down in the box on the top left corner Personalized Lanyards of that frame. The score of the second attempt is written on the adjacent small box where the first score is written. The total of the two boxes are written on the large blank at the bottom of the box.
  • The strike is when all the 10 pins are knocked down. It is marked by X and the player gets and extra attempt. Thus for that frame he gets a score of 10 plus the total number of pins knocked in the next two balls.
  • Spare is marked by a / and 10 points are awarded besides adding the score of only the next bowl.
  • In the last frame if the player scores a strike then he is given 2 extra balls and for a spare he is given 1 extra ball.
  • After the 10 frames all the scores are added up for the final score.
