‌Dean Ma Led Talent Recruitment Delegation to Singapore and Hong Kong

To further advance the ‌"Core Strategy for Strengthening the University through Talent"‌ and enhance global talent recruitment efforts, ‌Dean Ma Guangtong of the School of Electrical Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU)‌, led a delegation from March 23 to 30, 2025, to Singapore and Hong Kong, China. The delegation hosted the ‌SWJTU 2025 Global Talent Recruitment Seminar‌ and the ‌Special Promotion Symposium for Overseas Outstanding Young Scholars‌, while engaging in in-depth discussions with senior professors and alumni in the field of electrical engineering.

The delegation‌ conducted a series of talent recruitment roadshows and academic exchanges at six globally renowned institutions, including ‌National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU), City University of Hong Kong (CityU), and The University of Hong Kong (HKU)‌. It hosted ‌6 specialized recruitment seminars‌, attracting over ‌260 overseas young scholars‌ from Singapore and Hong Kong.

Dean Ma introduced SWJTU's ‌updated talent recruitment policies‌ and highlighted SWJTU's ‌historical legacy, academic strengths‌, and the rapid growth of its electrical engineering discipline, aligning with national strategies for technological advancement.

The delegation visited the experts and alumni at leading universities and research institutions in Singapore and Hong Kong, including ‌Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore Management University (SMU), Temasek Polytechnic (TP), Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), City University of Hong Kong (CityU), and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU)‌. During the visits, the team conducted in-depth research on local practices in ‌talent development, research innovation, and international collaboration‌.
